Terry is Chairman of the International Microgrid Association and has served as Federal Advisor to the Dept. of Commerce NIST, as well as emerging technologies for the California Energy Commission. He has chaired the Microgrid Alliance and the United Nations Foundation microgrid work groups. Terry specialises in the integration of renewables into balanced energy platforms for industries, businesses, cities and sustainable communities.

Tamara Close, MSc, CFA

ESG Specialist Advisor

Tamara has over 25 years of experience in capital markets and is founder of Close Group Consulting Inc. Tamara focusses on ESG integration practices for asset managers, general partners and asset owners, and recently launched an industry-leading ESG integration maturity assessment tool for investment managers providing standardized industry best practices in a scalable technology-driven solution. She has held various front office investment management positions for the Bank of Montreal and Credit Lyonnais in the global derivatives and foreign exchange markets. She was head of research and risk management for a fixed income asset management firm in Montreal and later joined PSP Investments, holding senior management roles within the risk and public markets investment groups.

Gillian Marcelle, PhD

Impact Investment Specialist

Gillian is an established thought leader in the impact investment space, where her contributions and perspectives on diversity, inclusion, accountability and alignment with the SDGs are becoming influential. She is a senior leader in economic development and international business with a proven track record in attracting investment to emerging markets. She is currently the managing member of Resilience Capital Ventures LLC and provides strategic guidance to a portfolio of commercial start-ups and social ventures. In the Caribbean region, she assisted international investor MPC Capital AG with its capital raising efforts in renewable energy and energy efficiency and initiated a blended finance partnership with the Clinton Global Initiative. Her Sub-Saharan African activities include serving as a non-Executive Director of Tafari Capital Pty Ltd., an innovative fintech start-up in Joburg, South Africa. She previously held staff positions with the International Finance Corporation, as well as, with JP Morgan Chase. Gillian has also advised the United Nations on impact investment and innovation for the benefit of the global South.

After 8 years with government, Bob joined AECOM spending 34 years in both commercial and technical leadership roles. After four mergers and the resultant growth, he left Van Oord after more than 33 years working for the same Company, where he gained unrivalled experience on large-scale dredging and reclamation projects throughout the world.

With over 20 years’ experience in the ICT sector, he has led organizations delivering products and outcomes that have impacted hundreds of millions of people globally. He has held senior management roles in Europe and Australia as Director for Radio Access Performance at Nokia, Global Head of Sales Partnering (network software) at Nokia Siemens Networks, and then Divisional Chief and Flagship Director at CSIRO.

Ian is considered a thought leader in the area of the Digital Economy and is a regular speaker on “Big Data”, broadband enabled services and the impact of technology on society. 

Heinrich Eder

After various postings with Munich Re Group, including a period of eight years as President of Munich Re Japan, he joined Munich Re Australasia as General Manager Non-Life in 2003. In 2005, he was appointed to the position of Managing Director of Munich Holdings of Australasia responsible for the life and non-life reinsurance and primary insurance operations of the Group in Australasia. In 2016 he retired from this role after 36 years of service for Munich Re Group.

Andrew Sotiropoulos

Andrew led IBMs IBM’s Global Technology Services (GTS) business unit in Asia, a multi billion dollar business with thousands of employees. He was appointed to this role in January 2009, with a two-year period (2013-2014) where he moved to the US to take on global leadership roles, based out of New York. Prior to this Andrew had many leadership roles at IBM at regional and global level.
